Cárnicas 5 Villas, a well-known and respected company in the pig market, is part of Vall Companys group, a family-based food group which is a leader in Spain.

ULMA has installed different types of channels in each zone as part of the Saragossa plant upgrade.

Firstly, stainless steel channels have been installed in rooms and corridors, where hygiene is essential. Secondly, KompaqDrain® compact channel and F-family polymer concrete channels have been installed in outside areas, where safety is paramount given the intense level of forklift and truck traffic.

The wide range of ULMA Architectural Solutions channels ensures an optimal solution for every need in construction projects, as has been the case with Cárnicas 5 Villas plant.

Health and quality are essential aspects in the agri-food sector. ULMA's stainless steel channels help maintain these standards by ensuring an excellent level of hygiene and providing resistance to dirt, micro-organisms, chemicals and other aggressive agents, with easy cleaning and superior discharge capacity. In meat processing plants, large quantities of organic waste are often accumulated in wastewater. The characteristics of the stainless steel drainage systems are key to ensuring the required level of hygiene. Furthermore, the HigyenicPro® grating is specially designed to discharge this type of waste, allowing quick cleaning and guaranteeing an anti-bacterial function.

There is continuous heavy traffic outside the industrial unit, which means safety is absolutely essential. For this reason, F250 model channels, specially designed for areas with heavy traffic or which are subject to great axial stresses due to operations and braking, have been installed here. KompaqDrain® compact channels, where the channel and the grille form a single piece in order to ensure maximum strength and safety, have also been installed. All of them are made of polymer concrete, a high quality material with exceptional mechanical resistance.

In total, approximately 900 linear metres of drainage system have been installed, in addition to 65 stainless steel drains.
