ULMA External Wall System and facade cladding at CEIP ZELAIETA
A unique, highly efficient building, implemented in record time

The spectacular optical effect of the texture of WATER creates the illusion that different shades of green have been used.

ULMA Architectural Solutions has implemented the External Wall System and Ventilated Façade solution with engineered stone panels at Zelaieta Infant and Primary School, in the town of Abadiño in the province of Bizkaia.

Energy efficiency

The owner wanted a highly efficient building with a thermal transmittance of less than 0.20 to achieve a building with ZERO energy consumption. ULMA External Wall System complies with this premise, as it is an energy-efficient industrialised system that meets the highest sustainability criteria.

Fast implementation

Another aim of the project was to complete the whole job in 6 months, a very tight deadline that could only be met if the industrialised cladding was built by just one company. As ULMA façade cladding is a dry multilayer system, it has infinitely higher on-site fitting and ease of control yields than traditional cladding and at a similar cost.

Optical effect of the texture of WATER

The spectacular optical effect of the texture of WATER creates the illusion that different shades of green have been used. It is in fact just one colour that achieves the effect of various shades thanks to the WATER texture finish in waves fitted in different directions (vertical, diagonal and horizontal).

We also used the CREAKTIVE texture that simulates a vine leaf in black, which, in contrast to the green wave texture, makes this a unique building of great beauty.
