New F500 drainage channels:

500 mm width with one of the highest hydraulic capacities on the market
New F500 drainage channels:

In recent years, the rise in intense rainfall events has highlighted a recurring limitation in many infrastructures: traditional drainage systems are not always equipped to handle extreme run-off peaks.

In environments such as logistics platforms, ports or airports, this limitation is far from insignificant. Water accumulation not only affects operations, it can also lead to disruptions, safety risks and unexpected additional costs.

Against this backdrop, the new F500 drainage channel range is being introduced, with a width of 500 mm – a solution developed to perform in demanding conditions.

Real capacity for extreme scenarios

The key differentiator of the F500 channels is their high hydraulic capacity. Thanks to their 500 mm width, the system ranks among the largest hydraulic sections currently available on the market.

In this respect, it offers a capture area of 2,032 cm² per linear metre, enabling efficient surface water collection. This is complemented by a hydraulic section that varies depending on the model, reaching 2,505 cm² for the 560 mm depth channel and up to 3,140 cm² for the 700 mm version, facilitating the rapid evacuation of large flow volumes.

In this way, the F500 channel meets a growing need: to manage large volumes of water more quickly and with greater reliability.

Designed to withstand what others cannot

In projects where heavy vehicles operate continuously – from logistics hubs to airport terminals – drainage becomes a vital part of the infrastructure.

For this reason, F500 channels incorporate reinforced steel edge rails, designed to withstand extreme load conditions and axial stresses. The system is available up to load class F900 in accordance with EN 1433, ensuring suitability for the most demanding applications.

This solution has been specifically developed for environments such as:

  • High-turnover logistics platforms
  • Industrial areas with continuous heavy traffic
  • Port areas exposed to harsh conditions
  • Airports and manoeuvring areas
  • Large transport infrastructures

In all these cases, drainage must do more than function: it must anticipate the problem.

A response to new civil engineering challenges

The evolution of infrastructure – larger, more demanding and exposed to increasingly variable climatic conditions – is driving a rethink of traditional solutions.

In this context, F500 channels represent a necessary adaptation to a scenario where hydraulic resilience has become a critical design factor.
