Drainage Upgrade for FC Viktoria Köln with ULMA MultiV+ 150

When it comes to countries where soccer is more than just a game, Germany is right at the top.
This time, we’re highlighting FC Viktoria Köln—a club with a proud legacy that dates back to 1904. After multiple mergers and transformations over the decades, today it remains a cornerstone of Cologne’s vibrant soccer scene.
The club recently upgraded its facilities at Sportpark Höhenberg, with a clear focus on improving the drainage system—enhancing safety and comfort for both players and spectators. ULMA installed a total of 120 linear meters of Multi V 150 trench drain channels with a built-in 0.5% slope and E600 load class—designed to handle heavy loads and high-traffic conditions with ease.
Designing a field and want to keep it dry?
Let’s talk.
Built-in 0.5% Slope for Maximum Flow
The integrated slope allows for faster water runoff, especially critical on flat surfaces like a soccer field. This high-capacity system efficiently channels large volumes of water, preventing pooling and keeping gameplay smooth and safe. Its robust construction and premium materials deliver long-lasting durability and performance under tough weather and continuous use.
The ductile iron grates also feature flow directors to enhance drainage and include a slip-resistant surface. All grates are secured with ULMA’s Rapidlock® system—built for strength, safety, and speed during installation.
Rapidlock®: Fast, Tool-Free Installation
Rapidlock® is a quick-lock system that secures the grate to the channel with a single click—no tools, no screws, just one second and it’s locked in. It’s built for:
- Fast, one-second installation
- Tool-free operation
- Secure, reliable locking every time
Our Engineering Office, supported by Optimal Drain—ULMA’s own hydraulic calculation software—helps optimize every drainage layout. This cuts down installation time and cost while tailoring the solution to each project’s specific needs.
With these improvements, FC Viktoria Köln continues to raise the bar—investing in facility upgrades that improve safety, performance, and the overall experience for fans and players alike.
Game on.
